As the wind predictions predicted…..lol….. there was another sunny and windy Sunday……yessssss!!!!
So off to Cabedelo, rigged up a 6,2m NP Hellcat sail and direct to the water, there were a lot of guys that showed up today for windsurf…..the warmer days are arriving so a lot of people are coming out of hibernation…..lol
So with more than 20 windsurfers on the water we had a blast…..speeding up and down our freeride spot….the wind was so perfect that you were planning from the beach until reaching the end of the harbor wall (1,1KM reach) and back
After 4 hours off full speed and a lot of missed gibes’…..still haven’t managed to get them going……time for drinks and food….
This is a hell of a great way to face another working week….

Finally i had time to do the compilation of the videos and photos i did in Dahab.
I tried to put a trailer of everyday i sailed in this compilation and the result is this:

After looking at the wind predictions i was a little worried that there would be no wind this weekend….but i took the risk and on Saturday, 10 of April, in the morning i was on my way to our usual spot…..Cabedelo…..
This time i was the first one to arrive, after a few minutes Rui arrived but the wind was to weak, so we waited for about an hour until it started slowly to increase strength….it was about 12 knots when we decided to rig big and hit the water….
I rigged a 8.om sail and Rui his 10.0m sail…….so of to the water….the conditions were getting better, around 14 knots so instant planning wasn’t an issue….the water was very flat so we went out the harbor to the open sea….very cool and fun….
Meanwhile other guys arrived, Joao, and rigged 8.0m and of to the water to join us…..the wind had picked more so Rui went back to get his 7.5m sail….but i preferred to keep on my 8.0m sail, sometimes overpowered, but doing full speed reaches up and down until 6.0PM, so after nearly 4 hours sailing i went back to the beach…….
What a great day i had!!!!!
On Sunday i couldn’t go windsurf because i had to do my “Dad duties” and go play with my sons.

This video was taken on the last day i sailed in Dahab, 27 March 2010, so i sailed until the last minute i could…..all day sailing with a NP Excess 7.4m sail and a JP X-Cite Pro 120 L board…….lots of fun and 2 km reaches up and down the speedy area………there is a plastic deck on the sea where you can stop and rest instead of going back to the beach, very cool, you can see it on the video!!

This video was made in Dahab when i decided it was time tou try out on of the most powerfull sails around, the Neilpryde RS Racing 8.4m sail. I used it with a JP Super Sport Pro Edition 127 L board.
I just can say that this kit together is fantastic!!!! I done 4 reaches of 2 km each and was burned out…. lol……to much power for me specially at 9h30 AM with just my breakfast in and still sleepy…. lol
